Experience a traditional Balinese Tradition by celebrating the Hindu New Year in a traditional Balinese Village- Sesandan, Tabanan, Bali, Indonesia.
The affordable price includes:
Travel on Day one to the Village (must arrange in advance to arrive before 12 noon, March 18, or arrive on your own up until 2 pm, March 18)
Day 1 – March 18, accommodation, light dinner, tea, water, and observance of the traditional celebration leading up to Silent Day; follow the residents throughout the Village, picking up snacks, listening to traditional Balinese music, and witnessing two Balinese Villages “battle” it out. It is truly an experience to participate in!
Day 2—March 19—SILENT DAY- Nyepi- accommodation, and an entire day of silence & fasting in observance of the traditional holiday (must also limit travel/exercise). Water and tea available
Day 3—March 20—accommodation, light breakfast, light dinner, tea, water, Observance of New Years celebration in traditional Village, late afternoon/evening guided walking meditation in silence
Day 4, March 21—accommodation, light breakfast, tea, water, depart by 11 am
Please note: there is limited travel, except for emergencies, from and to the Village March 18 afternoon through March 20 afternoon due to Silent Day travel.
